| Registration is now open for the 2025 Elk Grove Babe Ruth (EGBR) 16-18-year-old baseball season. Players born between 1/1/2006 and 4/30/2009 are eligible. The $250 fee includes the games, team jersey, cap, & socks, Lamppost Pizza Discount card, and raffle tickets. Any 16-year-olds who participate in the EGBR 13-16-year-old spring season can play a partial season with the 16-18-year-old division after the 13-16 season ends.** To complete the registration through our secure site, please have your Visa or MasterCard information available and a PDF copy or photograph of a utility bill showing your address and zip code - this is a requirement of the Cosumnes Services District (CSD). We anticipate fielding (2) 16-18-year-old teams. Coaches will select the rosters considering player experience, skills, weekend availability, including Sundays, travel preferences (local area vs. a broader Bay Area / Valley region, preferred competition level, etc. Our coaches will try to arrive at the best fit for the individual and teams. Games will begin Mid to Late May to avoid conflicts with the high school programs. During the season, players participating on the ‘local’ team may have opportunities to play with team playing games across the full region to gain experience and to cover roster shortages that may occur. Coach Larry Stone, assisted by Coach John Ryan, will manage one team that begins practice and games in May.
